Comfortable clear vision is vital for successful progress at school.
Reading, writing, working from the board and with screens are more difficult if you have a vision problem.
We can help solve sight problems which hinder learning, and assess that vision is developing fully. Vision develops from birth through to age 7-8 years, including complex oculo-motor skills relating to eye-teaming and focusing. Poor vision in only one eye can be missed, which can result in amblyopia, commonly called lazy eye.
A full eye examination assesses:
- Distance & near vision
- Changing focus (accommodation)
- Aiming the eyes (fixation)
- Stereo vision, (3D vision)
- Colour vision
- Eye health
